Turkish heiress Mina Basaran, 28, was set to be married on April 14 and later take over the businesses owned by her father but her life was cut short by a plane that also killed seven of her closest friends who had gone to Dubai with her for the hen party.
Mina’s father, Turkish businessman Huseyin Basaran, reportedly owns various businesses, including a construction company, yacht company, and an energy company; he is also a major shareholder at Bahrain Middle East Bank BSC.
For the hen party, Mina and her friends took a ride on the private plane owned by her father’s private holding company.
The ladies had a great time at One and Only Royal Mirage luxury hotel in Dubai, with Mina excitedly posting some of their photos using the hashtag, #minasbachelorette.
The young bride-to-be was definitely excited about her wedding and was having a lot of fun with her friends.
They posed together at the hotel in Dubai, clad in matching pink robes and wearing sunglasses while the beautiful bride-to-be wore a white robe, sunglasses that matched those her friends were wearing, and a sun hat. Sadly, the photo would be the last one Mina would ever share on her Instagram account.
On Sunday (local time), Mina and her friends were on the way home to Turkey when their plane crashed.
A flight-tracking website noted that there was sharp rise in the plane’s altitude sometime around an hour into the flight. Then, the plane quickly dropped and would crash into the Zagros mountains near the city of Shahr-e Kord, located approximately 370 km south of Tehran, Iran.
The plane has been located but rescuers confirmed that there were no survivors. The retrieval operations have also been suspended due to bad weather conditions as the helicopters can’t land near the site of the plane crash.
Authorities have also confirmed that the black box has been found. Investigators are now checking the black box to determine what really happened but the world is now grieving the loss of such a beautiful young lady and her good friends as well as the flight crew. Rest in peace…
