Rest and relaxation is an essential need we had to do in our lives. Like exercise and proper diet it is also an occasion one should have once in a while. It is a time in our lives wherein we can also bond with our family and friends.
Nowadays, to have a better connection and bond with their employees companies are adding a special treat to its employees where at least once a year everyone can go out and be with one another all expenses paid. This is to build a better relationship with co-workers.
During this time employees may also bring with them their families to introduce to their colleagues and for them to be acquainted with the work people that a member of their family spent a large amount of time on work days.
Other times, these break days are paid days just to let loose and enjoy vacation time and not think of the office stuff and this time is most enjoyed with loved ones.
However, a telecom worker Kevin Blandford from Louisville Kentucky was a bit out of luck in timing when he won a vacation to Puerto Rico from his job all expenses paid for. His daughter was too young to travel that his wife has stay home with the baby. Thus, he went to the free vacation all by himself.
He was so sad that he took pictures with a sad face on all the new wonderful faces that he’s been. He did this as documentation that he did not enjoy the vacation because his family was not with him and post it online. The pictures went viral with over 1.6 million views in 3 days.
Because of the now well known pictures that got the attention of an ad agency and Wyndham Rio Mar, where Blandford stayed, the agency and hotel offered him second vacation with his entire family.

During this vacation with his family, Blandford decided to document the whole trip as well and remake all the photos he took with a sad face but this time around with a gleeful smile on his face and with his wife and baby.
Oh man! That was nice! Vacations are in fact more enjoyable when spent with family and loved ones.
