It’s springtime! But while a number of people are already enjoying warmer weather conditions, many feel like they are still stuck in spring! And who better to blame about the extended winter than the guy who brings the bad news every day? LOL.
West Michigan meteorologist for Fox 17, Garry Frank, was tired of getting blamed for the cold weather. Indeed, everyone is tired of braving the cold when it is supposed to be springtime already but hearing his coworkers constantly complaining about his ‘bad news’ weather report has gotten on his nerves.
On Tuesday, Garry was doing yet another report for WXMI in Grand Rapids when a colleague commented about the poor weather conditions yet again. At first, he handled it rather well, saying, “It could be worse … has been worse.”
But everyone was surprised with Garry’s outburst.
“You guys are dragging me down. Every time I get done with the 7 Day (Forecast) you guys are like ‘Sigh! Gosh! Ugh!’ Every time. Doesn’t matter what time I come on — 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 — and then you expect me to be chipper for five straight hours! It’s miserable! I want you guys to say ‘Wow that’s great news! It’s gonna be 60 on Friday.’ Well, I mean, what do you want me to do? Lie to you? I’ll put 70 every day next time,” he exclaimed before starting with his report.
As the numbers flashed on the screen behind him, he no longer bothered to read them out or explain. It was kind of crazy!
After Garry was done with his rant, the TV network switched to the traffic report. A rather ‘scared’ Robb Westaby furtively entered, saying, “Is he done? That was terrifying!”
“The internet would put it this way: ‘That was terrifying,’” he added.
