Simpson Strong-Tie Contributes to Earthquake Relief Efforts in Turkey and Syria

Date:

Simpson Strong-Tie has donated $25,000 to the IRC to assist with rescue and relief initiatives.

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake devastated Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023. Around 36,000 people have died as a result of the earthquake and following aftershocks, while countless others have been left without shelter, food, and basic essentials in the severe winter weather.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), as a major disaster response organization, will aid with recovery efforts in both countries. The IRC has started by assessing what is needed in Turkey and Syria. The early response is focused on providing crucial health services and protection to affected families.
