Wood Partners Breaks Ground in One of Texas’s Fastest Growing Counties

Date:

Wood Partners, a national leader in multifamily real estate development, announced that they have officially started ground on their newest residential property, Alta Blakey, in Bastrop, Texas, in collaboration with SCOA Real Estate Partners.

The new community, which is now under construction, is planned to open in Summer 2024, with preleasing beginning in Spring 2024.

Alta Blakey is located in the Southeast Austin Submarket, just 30 miles from the capital city, off State Highway 21 and State Highway 71 in Bastrop. Bastrop has become a desired destination for huge firms such as Tesla, giving future Alta Blakey residents with several job prospects in the healthcare, hotel, municipal government, retail, and film industries. Furthermore, homeowners will be able to take full advantage of Bastrop’s expanding eating and retail opportunities, as well as adjacent Austin’s array of popular attractions, including the city’s world-famous live music scene, thanks to Alta Blakey’s great location.

“Wood Partners is thrilled to begin breaking ground on Alta Blakey, the company’s first project in Bastrop, and continue its growth across the region,” said Bart Barrett, Managing Director at Wood Partners. Throughout the region, Wood Partners has developed 9 buildings totaling over 2,500 housing units. “Alta Blakey will provide residents with a one-of-a-kind combination of high-quality living spaces and great amenities, all set against the picturesque and historic background of Bastrop. With its proximity to Austin, we feel this project will be a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and provide our residents with an unrivaled living experience.”

Alta Blakey will have 342 apartment homes with one-, two-, and three-bedroom unique floor designs, as well as many essential additions such as larger homes, private garages, and carports. Stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplashes, wood-style flooring, and in-unit full-size washer and dryer sets will be standard features in each property.

Alta Blakey will also include a variety of appealing amenities throughout the neighborhood, such as a huge resort-style pool with sunloungers and cabanas, shaded outdoor grilling stations, TVs and cornhole, and an on-site dog park. Residents will also enjoy the property’s state-of-the-art fitness center and business center, which includes various private conference rooms, inside the community clubhouse. Furthermore, all residents will have access to wifi connectivity as well as the most recent audio and visual equipment in all communal areas.
